Join us for our 5th Annual Bigfork Job Fair at Bigfork High School! Bigfork continues to experience seasonal staffing shortages, but just as importantly, this event is a valuable opportunity for employers to connect with young workers and for students to explore career possibilities right here in our community. The Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Bigfork High School to bring businesses and students together in a way that supports both immediate hiring needs and long-term workforce development. New this year, the event is divided into two focused sessions: Hiring Hour (12:40?1:40 PM): Reserved for businesses that are actively hiring and ready to connect with students seeking employment. Career Exploration Hour (2:00?3:00 PM): Designed for businesses who want to share what they do, highlight career paths, and build relationships with future workforce talent. A 20-minute transition break between sessions allows for a smooth shift between groups. Employers are welcome to participate in one or both sessions, depending on your hiring needs and goals. To create a more engaging experience for both students and employers, this year?s event will be held in the Bigfork High School Community Room with a slightly smaller, more intentional layout designed to encourage meaningful conversations and stronger connections. Not hiring right now? No problem. The career exploration session is a great way to introduce students to your industry and build your future workforce. This event is free to Chamber members. Non-members are asked to make a $20 contribution toward a Bigfork High School scholarship the day of the event. Job Fair Pro Tips: How flexible can you be? Can two people share a role? Could you offer one day a week or rotating weekends? Creative roles often attract more applicants. Know what you?re looking for. A simple aptitude test or clear expectations can help both you and applicants. Everyone loves a little fun?consider a giveaway or interactive element to draw people in. Let?s get visual! Bring displays, videos, or eye-catching materials. Let?s get interactive! Think demos or hands-on elements. Let?s get social! Encourage photos and tagging. And finally?be welcoming. The person in front of you may not be your next hire, but they might lead you to one.
